Shelf Bins vs Stacking Bins
Shelf Bins vs. Stacking Bins

Stacking Bins are heavy duty bins that are designed to stack on top one another, whereas Shelf Bins cannot be stacked. The Stacking bins are constructed with thick, strong sidewalls, to be able to support the weight of stacked bins above while filled with content, whereas the shelf bins typically have thinner sidewalls, are tapered in design, where the bottom of the bin is narrower than the top, designed to sit on shelves.
Stacking Bins range in depth (front-to-back) from 4” to 42” with various widths, heights and colors.
Shelf Bins are offered with depths (front-to-back) of 12”, 18” or 24” with various widths, heights and colors.
Shelf Bins with their thinner sidewalls are more economical as less material is used in their manufacturing.
Both Stackable Bins and Non-Stackable Shelf Bins are offered with optional dividers.
